Mobility for all, autonomy for all with the automated shuttle
In rural areas, 85% of the population does not have access to public transportation.
What if advancements in vehicle automation could be harnessed to create more inclusive mobility? This is the vision championed by the Community of Interest for the Automated Vehicle (CIVA), created by Macif.
Watch this video to discover how these automated shuttles will restore mobility to those deprived of it and help rebuild social connections.
At Movin’On Summit, Antoine Perrin gathered insights from those driving this community forward:
- Benjamin Beaudet, CEO, beti:
"If we move toward automated mobility, it must retain the essence of easily shareable transportation." - Nicolas Marescaux, Deputy Director of Member Needs & Innovation, Macif:
"The goal is not just to go from point A to point B. It’s also about fostering connection and building relationships."
- Nathalie Irisson, Member Needs & Innovation Department, Macif:
"Eight out of ten French people have no choice in their mode of transportation. They rely on personal cars, not out of preference but necessity."
FOCUS: This solution is already in the testing phase in the Val de Drôme region, with the town of Crest planning to deploy seven shuttles by 2025.
