What if autonomous vehicles were to serve outlying regions?
We have seen one experiment after another, adding to the feeling that autonomous vehicle technology is progressing rapidly and will inevitably become widespread. And yet, the promises relating to autonomous cars have been scaled down considerably by car manufacturers, and their acceptance by society is still some way off.
Would the same be true for an autonomous bus or shuttle service? Could this be the ideal solution? Both technologically feasible, and economically and socially relevant? Is it as promising in urban and suburban areas as it is in rural districts? And what do local politicians think?
Our guests share their convictions on a new mobility challenge:
• Yann Arnaud, Director of Member Needs Response and Innovation - Macif Group
• Benjamin Beaudet, Managing Director - beti
• Damien Adam , Member of Parliament for Seine-Maritime
