Movin'On and Capgemini introduce the Pop-Car, a new mid-sized vehicle.
SAFER OR GREENER?
The European car market is currently subject to two trends that are at odds with the challenges of low-carbon mobility.
On the one hand, a safety policy aimed at achieving zero deaths on the roads, implying an increase in equipment.
On the other hand, there is the objective of a transition to all-electricity by 2035, which will structurally reinforce this phenomenon.
Given that 98.7% of all journeys are made less than 80 km from home, Movin'On and Capgemini believe in an intermediate solution: a vehicle between the L6e/L7e and M1 categories that is safe, suitable for 99% of journeys and capable of meeting the challenges of the future:
- Suitable for four people
- Accessibility in terms of price
- Minimal environmental impact:
- consuming fewer resources
- incorporating a proportion of materials recycled in Europe into its design.
Alongside Movin'On and Capgemini, Allianz, Michelin and Saint-Gobain are also involved in this project, presented here by Emmanuelle Bischoffe-Cluzel, Head of Sustainable Development for the Automotive Industry at Capgemini and Pierre-Edouard Sorel, Development Director at Movin'On.
