Carried out by Kantar and MOBYL (Movin'On Board of Young Leaders), the study “Une jeunesse engagée en quête de solutions durables 2024” provides a wealth of information on the mobility of young people in France.

From busy city streets to country roads, our study of 1515 individuals reveals that 18-34 year-olds are leading the charge towards sustainable transportation. Did you know that:

60% of young city-dweller prefer to walk on a daily basis and 50% opt for public transport as their primary mode of travel in cities.

While the car remains king in suburban and rural areas due to limited alternatives, young adults perceive it as a major expense yet still associate it with pleasure and success.

However, there's a keen interest in reimagining the future of cars, with a focus on affordability, environmental sustainability, and safety.

These findings underscore a crucial point: young adults are ready to embrace change when it comes to sustainable mobility, provided innovative solutions are presented to them. They're also the most open to embracing multi-modal transportation options.
