Objectives

  • Accelerate R&D on waste-to-fuel to release viable decentralized & lowtech pyrolysis units.
  • Fight plastic pollution, regenerate nature and biodiversity.
  • Unlock the potential of South-South cooperation and opportunities for local entrepreneurs and sustainable jobs.
  • Enable a high level of measurable impacts on climate and biodiversity and community inclusion.
  • Avoid waste mobility in benefit people mobility.

Deliverables

Deploy 3 additional pilot micro plants in West Africa in 2023 and a Pyrolysis unit in 2024.

Fine-tune the low-tech and decentralised business model in order to make it profitable:

• Bring waste recovery closer to its place of emission to limit costly transport.

• Produce machines that are simple to use and that can be manufactured and maintained locally.

• Containerise the units so that the model can be easily collapsible.

Adapt compensation mechanisms to develop positive social and environmental benefits through plastic credits.
