Isabelle Kocher is Chief Executive Officer of Engie, the world’s third-largest energy group (fossil-fuel free).

Graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS-Ulm), holder of an aggregation of physics and engineer of the Corps des Mines, Isabelle Kocher is the first Frenchwoman to lead a company in Paris’s CAC 40 stock market index. She started her career as project manager within the European Propulsion Company (now SAFRAN group), and then joined SUEZ (previously called GDF-Suez, now Engie), in 2002. She held several management positions, where she was in charge of finance and operations. She joined the general management of the company in 2016.

Engie is present in more than 70 countries, employs approximately 153,000 people worldwide and achieved revenues of 69.9 billion Euros in 2015. In 2016 and 2017, Isabelle Kocher ranked 3rd in Fortune’s magazine “Most Powerful Women” international list. She is also one of the seven “chairwomen” at the World Economic Forum held in Davos.
